9772 - The Automatic Watch

R.W.Pipe

So many very good books on watches and clocks, their care and repair, have been published in the last ten to fifteen years that, when It was suggested that I should set to work to add another, I was very dubious about its usefulness. However, the self-winding watch is one that has always interested me, and the types of mechanism are so ingenious and varied that it was  decided that a description of how they work, and of any special care required, would be helpful to the repairer.
