9726 - World of Time

WELCH Kenneth F.

For thousands of years Man measured time by the rising and setting of the sun. There is also an orderly progression of the seasons : the sowing and harvesting of crops. Man recognised that all this was related in some way to the movement of both the sun and earth. In 1543 Copernicus proved that it was the earth that moved round the sun.
