5923 - Antique Watch Restoration Vol. I

PERKINS ARCHIE B.

There are many antique watches and clocks that need restoring and to be maintained. The needed parts are not always available, therefore they must be made. When parts are available they usually need to be altered so they will fit correctly. Additionally, the purpose of this book is to help teach watch and clockmakers and restorers acceptable methods used in restoring antique watches and clocks to their original condition.
This book has a chapter on the use of the staking tool which is a very important tool used in restoration work.

The earlier book The Modern Watchmakers Lathe and How To Use It forms a basis for this book since the lathe is used often in watch and clock restoration work.
