A word from the author : I am quite sure all horologists will agree with me when I say that this clock contributes little or nothing to the development of time-keeping. It is an horological oddity, a gimmick, or, as our friends in the USA might say, a conversation piece. Nevertheless, it does have an extraordinary fascination for the mechanically minded, and I hope that many readers will have as much fun in its construction as I have had in developing and making this particular version.
